Effective December 1st, 2022, the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) and the Ontario Minstry of Health have reduced funding provided for virtual primary care and urgent care services. The impact to Ontarians is simply less access to healthcare services.
In response to these changes, MD Connected has been preparing a new model of service to continue to provide virtual healthcare to our patients. We believe in what we do for our communities and do not support the unsustainable fee cuts made by the Ontario government.
Unfortunately, effective January 1, 2023, we will no longer be able to provide OHIP covered video consultations through virtual care. However, we will continue to connect with patients through secure chat appointment.
When you need to see a doctor, you’ll have options!
Some services are not covered by provincial or private insurance and may require extra charges at the end of your appointment.
